The small liquid-cooled "Swiss Watch" type MC14 engine has four cylinders in the frame, with four valves per cylinder, gear-driven twin camshafts and a carburettor supply. A six-speed gearbox is connected to a chain final drive. You get your first hint at around 7, 000 to 8, 000 rpm, then it starts howling like a racing bike at around 13, 000 rpm and hurtles towards the 18, 000 rpm limit with an intoxicating rush.
