Description
This exceptional Talbot Solara finished in Jamaica Brown Metallic was originally registered January 1985 to Talbot Motor Company. At 6 months old it was then sold to an elderly private owner who kept the car for the next 30 years covering just 10, 500 miles in that time. Despite such infrequent use, it was regularly MOT'd and always kept garaged.
I purchased the car from his widow in 2016 and have covered just 1, 000 miles in my ownership, again always keeping it garaged and occasional fine day use only.
As I had not used the car since lockdown, I have just had it serviced and MOT'D, which it has passed with no advisories.
The bodywork is immaculate as you would expect with such low mileage, apart from a very small blemish on the bonnet which has always been there and not deteriorated. See photo.
The interior is unmarked with no fading or wear on the seats or dash.
Being a later Series 2 Solara, it benefits from the Peugeot 5 speed gearbox and power steering which make it very easy to drive.
This is a very reluctant sale but I have to reduce my collection of cars.
Any Talbot rarely comes up for sale, especially in this condition with such low ownership and mileage. This is a real time- warp and even has two original cassette tapes as originally found in the glovebox.
