So..... in 2018 I bought this CBX from the first owners family as a birthday present for my wife.....
I have had many Cbx's in my 47 years of bikes and am very particular in my bike purchases.
It had 1859 miles on the clock from new and had been left in a large barn since 1979.... 39 years to be precise, it was fairly rough but complete, it had never reached its first MOT...... still wearing the gold seal tyres.
After getting it home it was stripped down to the last nut and bolt ready for powder coating, chroming and a beautiful re paint from Dream Machine.
Delkovic supplied the exhaust which is a perfect copy of the original that had rotted away.
Upon completion in late 2018 the carbs were balanced so as to have it running perfect from day one, and after my wife had ridden it for nearly 1100 miles it still runs as smooth as it should.
Won best CBX Z at the 2019 UK Rally.
Taxed and MOT exempt.
We would love this to go to a good home and for someone to appreciate it for what it is.
