So the story of the CBX, I purchased it in June 2022 from a trusted classic motorcycle seller and the reason I purchased it from him ( I viewed many) and no one else was that a Honda CBX expert had rebuilt the top end of the engine and checked everything else under the instruction from the seller and I have all the paperwork of the engine worked which was carried out by him. Also addition worked was carried out before purchase, the replacement of the front brake master cylinder and also a new clutch installed with new oil and oil filter replaced at the same time and again I have all relevant paperwork for that work carried out. The bike comes with the original handbook but no tool kit and the bike has not been resprayed (see rivets on front mudguard) and it still has the red dots on the brake calipers and a new Delkevic system. I had the O. E system replaced before purchased, due to the HM422 system was tired and tatty, yes I know I should have kept the OE system but I never went down that route.
I also have a file of paperwork for the bike and also articles of the Honda CBX from an expert regarding these bikes who guided me through everything to ensure it was correct. I also have a dating certificate from VMJC confirming frame and engine number and model of bike.

I have also fitted a new petrol locking arm, sourced from a well respected CBX Restorer and also I have replaced the foam cushion for the volt meter. Again, this was done to keep the bike in pristine condition. I am open to sensible offers but please no silly offers these will be ignored.

I suppose I have already stated the fact but having someone check over the engine from top to bottom (CBX Expert) gave me the reassurance to purchase the CBX. Prior to me purchasing it, I viewed many CBX's which at times was very frustrating based on the seller's description after travelling to view to only be very disappointed. However, I can assure you, seeing it in pictures then seeing it up close will take your breath away. Also having the very rare Rickman crash bars installed on it makes it stand out and really shows of the engineering marvel of the straight six. Also included in the sale of the CBX, is copies of rare CBX articles from test reports to fitting instructions for the Rickman crash bars.
