1985 Ford Escort Mark 3 RS Turbo

Ford Escort Series 1 RS Turbo 1985 'C' Reg with 87670 genuine miles on the clock. 5 previous owners from new. Box file with receipts and paperwork including original service book and operating manual (see photos).
Being the 6th owner I have had the car in my possession since 2019. I have stored the car in a garage and have only driven it during the spring and summer months on dry days.

Exterior
The Diamond White paintwork is in excellent condition for a car of this age. The panels are straight and the body styling and spoilers are fully intact. All decals are intact and overall this sporting 80's iconic car is still guaranteed to draw much attention and admiration. The underneath of the car is in immaculate condition for its age and has been recently wax oiled to maintain its excellent standard.

Engine and transmission
The engine is completely standard with no modifications added. The engine bay is also in excellent condition for the age of the car and this must be seen to be appreciated. The car runs like a dream and has been driven with respect and care since our ownership. A stainless steel custom made exhaust was fitted to the car in 2019 which gives a glorious sound whilst driving. The gear changes are smooth resulting in a truly exhilarating driving experience for the driver and passengers.

Wheels
The 7 spoke RS alloys are in pristine condition. Refurbished in 2019 they still remain in excellent condition. The spare wheel in the boot of the car matches the standard of all other alloys.

Interior
The original two toned Monza crushed velour wraps the seats and bolsters. The material is in excellent condition for the age of the car with minimal signs of wear. The door cards are in remarkable condition and the carpets are in very good condition also (car mats have been used to protect the carpets). The dashboard is in wonderful condition as is the sunroof. The Blupunkt stereo (tape player) which came with the car was removed in 2019 to be replaced by a Pioneer Bluetooth CD player. The original Blupunkt stereo that was fitted to the car when we purchased it will also be included in the sale should the buyer decide to instal it again (see photo).


The car has recently passed its MOT on the 04/ 04/ 24.

House build project has resulted in the genuine reason for the sale of this much loved car. This car has been cared for and driven respectfully throughout its time with our family. It has been an absolute honour to have been able to own this iconic 80's classic and it is my only wish that this car will be placed with a buyer who expresses the same passion and care that I have shown it.
