2ltr B20 Engine
4 speed manual gearbox with Overdrive
Mechanically it is excellent, I rebuilt the engine approx 30, 000 miles ago, it was rebored and the crank was reground. The D profile camshaft was fitted to add a bit more horsepower. The carbs were rebuilt at the same time and the exhaust has since been replaced with a Simons sports system. It is running a 123 Ignitions electronic distributor.
It runs very well, has no issues keeping up with or overtaking modern traffic, the servo and front disc brakes mean It stops very well too. It is a very reliable vehicle, it has never let me down.
Had extensive bodywork repairs and a full respray by Volvo specialist in early 2019, unfortunately the paint has begun to bubble up in a few places.
The interior is in very good condition, the front seats have been recovered by a previous owner but the rear seats are original. The headliner was replaced in 2019.
Heated rear screen
Retro styled modern head unit with USB, Bluetooth etc. Speakers in door cards.
The wheels were banded by a previous owner and are fitted with wider than standard tyres, the tyres were new in 2019.
Rear brakes overhauled in 2020, new drums and shoes.
Fuel line changed in 2021 to be E10 compatible, although it prefers to run on E5.
25-30MPG, 35MPG+ is possible on a long run if you are careful.
