Austin -Healey Mk1 "frog-eyed" Sprite, Leaf green paintwork with matching green interior. According to the accompanying heritage certificate this is how it left the factory in 1959 as is the original 948cc engine No. 9C-U-H13562. The only changes from original being the hood and side-screens which are now white and the addition of seat belts, servo brake assistance and bullet mirrors for safety reasons.
The Sprite presents very well having been previously fully restored with very good paintwork, all steel bodywork, very good chrome, lovely correct vinyl interior and is very good mechanically also. The correct side-screens, hood and tonneau cover are in good condition.
There is a good history file with invoices for work done and the V5 shows 3 previous keepers.
This Sprite is a R. H. D home market car which was bought, in fully restored condition, by the previous owner's wife as a present for his 60th birthday in 2005. It was shipped to his home in Brussels, registered there and has been maintained and serviced by a classic car specialist there. l bought the car last year and re-registered it with it's original plate as a present for my wife but she shows no enthusiasm for driving it and l already have several other classics, so it is for sale.
