1988 Ford Escort MK4 XR3i 3 Previous Owners 60k miles
This has been in long term ownership, the car was purchased from A Ford dealership in 1999 when the car had covered 11k.
The car was owned by a mechanic for 20 or so years who maintained and modified the car , it’s still wears its modifications that were so popular back then, these include :
-Magnex stainless steel exhaust including 4 branch manifold (invoice and warranty in the history file)
-K&N Air filter
-20mm Lowering springs
-Series 2 RS turbo wheels
-Stainless under bonnet dress kit
The car has been used sparingly since 2008 and was recommissioned in 2021 where it had a major service including timing belt , filters, brakes , track rod ends etc , the car drives very well indeed.
Check out the MOT history and it hasn’t had an advisory in years.
The interior is completely standard and in great condition for one of these , the seat fabric is good, free from wear, burns etc although the drivers seat foam is collapsing.
Exterior is in nice condition for its age , it’s not a show winner but it’s still presents very well and gets admired when out and about.
Underneath has benefited from being wax-oiled (not undersealed!) and that has preserved the XR3I venerable body.
