1969 Riley Elf

I have owned this car for over year and am only selling due to medical reasons.
This car is used every week and is a joy to drive. Lotas of pictures taken by admirers. If you want a car that is sorted and ready to go it can be driven with confidence back to your home.
Owned by last owner since Feb 2004 (19years) and part of a small collection. The last owner who is a member of “The British Mini Club” seems to simply like to restore cars and he has said that the Elf was traded in for another project. The car has a Certified Copy of ‘Factory Record from The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust.’ Valuation Cert from British Mini Club

During his ownership the car has been restored and upgraded as follows:
Body stripped by “Earley Autos” of Hurst in Berkshire. Replaced boot floor, rear inner wings, other floor replacements and repairs. Sills, door skins, “A” panels and front wings. Full body respray in the original colours and supplementary and replacement sound proofing applied.
Photographic record and over £8k in invoices included.
Original 998cc engine and a manual 4 synchromesh gearbox. Engine overhauled and fitted with Duplex timing chain and a gas flowed 12G202 (Cooper 997 Head). Fitted with twin SU HS2 Carbs (AH needles) 3 branch manifold and RC40 exhaust.
Recently tuned and Rolling Road Test 49. 3 Bhp
The gearbox has been reconditioned and has a new clutch. A small oil cooler is fitted, “Poly” top and bottom hoses. Also fitted with Hardy Spicer drive couplings.
Converted to dry suspension. New gas front shock absorbers, “Hi-Lo” adjustable rear suspension. Converted to Cooper S 7. 5-inch front disc brakes and “Minifin “rear hubs. Newly fitted with Brake Servo.
10-inch reverse rims, “S” style steel road wheels (including spare) with period Mini trims.
Dynamo has been re-bushed and new brushes fitted. A New SU fuel pump The Distributer converted to electronic ignition and new plug leads. battery upgraded. Replacement 2 speed wiper conversion.
Original rear seat and the front seats replaced with later reclining seats in matching leather. New carpets. Fitted with supplementary ammeter / clock/ tachometer and the dashboard vents sealed to prevent rust traps.

Work carried out by me includes
New Carpets and boot tray, Heavy duty vinyl backed underfelt.
Brake servo fitted, new K&N air filters, new headlights, and cowls.
Car undersealed inside and outside. full service Subframe and doors undersealed, front wheel bearings new n/ s sill. x
4 x Falklen Tyres . 2 new last month.
