Suzuki T500 M 1975
I am the 5th owner from new the bike has had a sympathetic restoration retaining most of the original parts. V5 in my name the bike is tax and MOT exempt. Work carried out the frame swinging arm battery box , air box and stand have been powder coated. The wheels have hade the original rims re chromed and rebuilt with stainless spokes, the hubs were vapour blasted and polished , new tyres. Both mudguards and stays were chromed along with the tail light bracket, chain guard and gear change lever. The headlight , rim and brackets were chromed and the original light is fitted, the rear light is the earlier twin bulb unit as i prefer these for safety. It has a complete new saddle. Only parts not chromed are filler cap , exhausts and grab rail. Paintwork has been resprayed with new decals. Front foot peg rubbers are NOS. Boyer electronic ignition and new plugs. New older style bars and switchgear refurbished. Barrels have been vapour cleaned and engine cases polished, carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned. There are a pair of slip on expansion chambers to go with it. Never tried them but they have new baffles fitted. There may be other bits i have forgotten so feel free to contact me.
I have owned this bike for over a year and its not getting used as much as it should. I put some fresh petrol in the other day and started 2nd kick and went for a quick 20 mile run. Everything works as it should and rides and sounds great.
