Description
1961; This machine is VERY SPECIAL INDEED because it is pretty much entirely original even down to the paintwork. It has covered a mere 20, 000 miles from new and has had three owners the last two of which living in Shetland since 1964 which largely explains the low mileage. The most recent owner, an existing customer of ours bought the bike from the Son of the second deceased owner 16 years ago. He stripped the engine purely to check it to find it was in fabulous order thereby merely replacing the rings and big ends for new standard ones as well as cleaning the sludge trap and new oil pump gears all as precautionary measures to ensure reliability. He covered 6, 000 miles during his ownership carrying out some other work to keep it reliable including a magneto overhaul. This has to be one of, if not the most original Super Rocket around and is in truly unique, fabulous condition being so very original. It runs absolutely beautifully sounding just as they did when new and it rides absolutely perfectly. It is certainly one of, if the not nicest A10 I have ridden in a very long time and I have ridden lots of them. We have made no attempt to clean it all up for sale as it looks so lovely in its 'working clothes'. A very rare opportunity to find one like this. TRADE. p/ x welcome.
