1995 Mercedes E Class W124 E220

Summary
I’ve owned the car since November 2023, and has been a pleasure to drive. There has only been 4 previous owners over the past 28 years and has been serviced by Mercedes-Benz main dealers up until 2016, where it has been serviced at Mercedes independent garages. Most recent service was done in December 2023, and have only done 100-200 miles since. The car comes with a rarely spec 772 AMG look package which includes genuine front + rear AMG bumper alongside with side skirts. Furthermore the car is rolling on 17 inch genuine AMG monoblock alloys. Put this all together and you’ve got yourself a stunning W124.

Condition is absolutely superb, both on top and underneath, having been undersealed few years back, (which I have pictures to prove this) with none of the corrosion associated which the W124 can suffer from, only slight bubbling on front right wing. The same theme is also carried on with the interior too, which is a very cosseting place to be, and extremely comfortable too. Seats are like brand new, with no wear at all, as if they have never been used. As you would rightly expect, drive is absolutely sublime, and it still oozes quality in spades, remember this car cost around £40, 000 when new, and that was 28 years ago in 1995!
What's also impressive is although the M111 (2. 2 litre 16 Valve) can propel the car to almost double the motorway speed limit, it returns superb fuel economy.

I think the W124 Cabriolet one of the most elegant cars to grace our roads and is probably one of the only of a handful of convertible cars that still manages to retain its dignity (and that of the driver) with the roof down. The A124 is also one of the safest and most rigid cabriolets on the market too, with safety features that where light years ahead of its contemporaries. For these reasons, it's already proven to be a classic, and my feeling is that a car like this, if kept in its current condition could easily be worth £20K in the not so distant future.

Downside of the car:
Roof is not functioning correctly , does not fold down at all, windows go down as normal and then stops, it as if it’s trying to lift up. Unsure as to why this is, was working perfectly when first bought, this could be an easy fix but I don’t have the time at the moment for this. If anyone specialises in these cars , this fix shouldn’t be hard to fix at all
