Description
1995 C36 AMG.
3 former keepers. 93k miles.
Early 1995 build, first registered on 01/ 05/ 95 as M87 UCW.
One of the nicest, most original and best known C36 AMGs in the UK.
Magazine featured in 2019 (copy of the magazine, along with USB of the high resolution images included)
Rare, early Schwarz Cloth trim (601A), Air conditioning (with sunroof delete), Cruise Control, Adjustable Column & Electric Drivers Seat.
Early, correct Becker Special.
Even the spare wheel is the original 1994 dated Bridgestone (not that I would recommend use) and original First Aid Kit.
Comes with original handbooks, a raft of receipts. Original Brochure, period road test magazines.
I’ll not bore you with the product history of the C36 AMG, its well documented and if you are looking at this advert, you have already done your homework.
Retro-fitted with the ultra rare optional rear sport seat (original included in the sale).
Shortly after buying the C36, I was able to obtain the DVLA VRM C36 AMG which it currently wears. This plate was never an original issue, it was an auction request by someone in 1999, DVLA auctioning it in 2000 where it sold for £2600.
I have been up and down the country in the C36, and a trip to Le Mans. Always serviced using genuine filters and Mobil 1. It has wanted for nothing, when not being used it is kept, under a dust cover in a dehumidified garage.
The engine loom was rebuilt by Si-Leck Motorsport Wiring who specialise in 90’s Mercedes looms (as well as Motorsport looms).
Being a 1995 build, it does not suffer the 1996 introduction of water based paints that have caused so many corrosion issues on later 90’s and 2000’s Mercedes products.
MOT currently to July, I’ll be putting 12 months on it come mid June.
New 100ah battery recently fitted.
A/ C condenser and dryer replaced and A/ C regassed.
2x Sets of keys.
While I realise the used car market has softened a little and I’m at the upper end of C36 pricing, there’s a seat for every bum and someone may be out there looking for one of the best C36’s in the UK.
It’s priced without the C36 AMG number plate, this will be available on a first refusal basis to the buyer for an extra £5k. DVLA will likely reassign the original number of M87 UCW.

984 COC DOC. DELETION OF VEHICLE REGISTRATION DOCM87 UCW’s History:
Supplied by Ciceley Continental, Preston, (of BTCC Ciceley Motorsport fame) to Warburtons Bakery, Bolton. I understand for the use of then Co-Chairman Mr Tom Warburton, who was a car enthusiast and Historic Rally driver.
In 2000, at 5 years old and after covering 58, 215 miles it was advertised for sale by Lodge Motor Company in Hampshire for £17, 995. Where a Mr & Mrs Barry traded in their 1992 190E against the C36.
Wearing their private plate of VJB33, Mr & Mrs Barry kept the C36 for 13 years, always garaged alongside their R107 Mercedes SL, reputedly, never venturing out in the rain.
2013 it moved to Mr Love, who knew the Barry family through his business, where it joined his R129 SL500. Mr Love only keeping the C36 for 12 months and advertising the C36 in 2014.
I had been searching for a C36 on and off for a couple of years. I had become a little despondent of what was available and had started to look at C43’s instead. Mr Love’s C36 was the most expensive I had seen advertised and looked great in the images. But I was looking for a well optioned C36 with Leather seats, climate etc etc.
I kissed a few more frogs viewing C36’s (and C43’s), one thing I did come to realise, was the C36 with leather seats was rather slidy when pressing on, something no doubt Mr Warburton realised and stuck with the factory cloth seats. In early 2015 it came home with me, back to Lancashire, where it had started its early days.
