Welcome to the sale of my Stunning Alfa Romeo Spider.
I purchased this car from the previous owner who embarked on a 5 year refurbishment that became a labour of love. The car was off the road since circa 2005, where the then owner planned to refresh the car, he started by stripping the car, and ordering various parts, but then life got in the way, and the car sat in the garage.
It has had a full body restoration, which involved removing all panels and glass, and removing most of the interior. All corrosion properly cut out and replaced with new panels, or had custom panels made up. This includes both inner and outer side sills, as well as the side sill covers. The inner wheel arches, the boot floor, the spare wheel well, the floors, the rear slam panel. No "filler" was used.
The car was then flattened/ blocked and painted in the correct Rosso Red. It is a very good quality paint job, which is consistent, and doesn't have any overspray or runs. The original optional hard top was also painted at the same time to ensure consistency in colour. All the seat covers are new (from EB spares) as well as new seat cushions, it also has new correct door cards, and new over carpets. Various rubber and chrome trims were replaced, as well as lights/ lenses and badges. The soft top is also new (including rear screen).
Various mechanical aspects were tended to, including a full service of all fluids, new brake calipers, clutch master cylinder, new fuel pump and new tyres.
It comes with both sets of keys, it's spare wheel, original jack, the hard top, a modern radio that works well. It also has one of the supplying dealers number plates (which matches the sticker in the hard top). The service book, which is stamped up until it was taken off the road. There are nearly 50 photos of the restoration process. It passed its MOT in January with zero advisories.
I've owned various Alfa 105 and 115s over the years, and they ALL suffer with rust/ corrosion, particularly where you can't see it, and when it does become apparent, it's usually too late. There is zero corrosion on this car.
Whilst the car is in excellent condition, it is still 33 years old. Please bear that in mind.
Any inspection welcome
