Description
1969 Mercury Cougar PROJECT. 5. 8L 351 Windsor V8, 3 speed automatic and a posi rear axel. Ran lovely and smooth prior to stripping for the body work to be done.
Included is the following- A brand new front windscreen as well as the original, all the exterior eliminator parts apart from hood scoop to make it a replica, new A posts both sides, new trunk lip, new rear lower valance, new parcel shelf full size, moulding pins, full weather strip kit, door jambs for both sides, rear scuttle panel and a patch panel for the OSR quarter, new floors fitted, chassis repaired to a good standard and the interior bits such as seats and door cards are in good usable condition. Probably more parts I’ve forgotten about! Every panel needed to make this car solid I could think of.
Please note the car is in stripped condition ready for necessary body work repairs to be carried out. The front wings are off, windscreens are out and the interior is out!I brought this car as it’s my ultimate dream car and was going to be the next project car I did with my father. This is the most popular shape for the cougar and when kitted out to be an eliminator in my opinion is one of the best looking muscle cars.
Sadly when it arrived it required far more work than I could’ve imagined. A sad story later and now I’m selling it. I’m asking £5500, the car in total owes me nearly £20k. So I’m cutting my losses now. For someone this will make a fantastic car! £5500 is what the car is worth in parts hence that number. It is fully registered however and the engine ran sweet before being stored a year ago.
