Riley RMA 13th June 1951 NFM536 Elegant Classic
Green over Cream a pretty car. Very good condition, starts easily, regularly driven, runs well with excellent oil pressure and is pleasant to drive.
Has the original green leather seats with lovely patina.
As a historic car it is MOT and Road Tax exempt and also ULEZ compliant. Extensive history from new including bill of sale and buff log book from first owner with receipts and list of work carried out from each subsequent owner. (seven)
Numerous past mot's and tax discs.
Previous chassis up and engine rebuild, new brake cylinders, dynamo and starter, there was a slight oil leak on the right rear brake drum so I had the half shafts removed fitted new oil seals and now perfect. The steering wheel was expertly restored with American Walnut by Ed Gator steering wheels (cost of £400)
The side trafficators work, however few motorists realise they are high on the side door pillars so turning right can be a bit of a surprise to those following, therefore for safety I had period front and rear indicators fitted which work in conjunction with the trafficators.
These are mounted on metal lollypops by one bolt and an electrical pull connectors so can all be removed in 15 minutes if originality is desired.
However for safety I would recommend keeping them. Approximate cost to install £700.
Any spare parts are easily obtainable from the Riley RM club with a superb parts list running into 36 pages. Vehicle supplied with booklets and workshop manuals.
