Hello. This is a Lincoln mark viii (8) it’s the very last year of the long tradition of personal luxury coupes in America, before it went all SUV if you know what I mean.. I am the 4th owner. It was new in Florida, came to the south of France in 2005, then to England in 2014.
It has, remarkably, a pretty much full service history by mileage, all documented. An advisory free mot, and new Michelin crossclimate 2 tyres. The usual problem areas(suspension airbags and compressors for the AC and air suspension) have been addressed . It is lovely to drive and trust me, is not that bad on fuel . these are quite modern and efficient engines. You will get into the 30’s mpg on a run, and it will sail up hills at little more than tickover in its fine long overdrive top. And while the turbo brigade are enduring the lag, you gone baby, long gone . The handling and ride are excellent, not at all what you would expect from a big American car. And of course, it looks like nothing else on the road. I have a quality outside cover for it, and the full set of ford workshop manuals. And both keys. Tough cars these. All panels fully galvanised and lots of high strength steel. Parts are easy really, the platform is shared extensively with thunderbirds , cougars and mustangs of the time.
If you are genuinely interested then call me. I will go through it with you in detail.
If you are like me and love a big coupe I would rather have this than a Cl, an xjs or an xk, or a continental etc . It’s way better value, more interesting and won’t be as much trouble. Been there, Done that!
It’s a great car and I commend it to you.
