Kawasaki ZX6R F series, less than 5k miles from new, exceptional condition.
As close to a brand new condition 1st generation ZX6R as you’re ever likely to find. It’s covered less than 5k miles from new and I can genuinely say it’s the cleanest 27 year old unrestored sports bike that I’ve come across.
The pictures will no doubt do most of the talking but when the original coating is still present on the exhaust header nuts that’ll give you some idea of just how good it is. I worked at a motorcycle dealership in the mid 2000’s and to be fair the finish on Kawasaki's was never the best for longevity so for this one to still be in near new condition is really quite something.
Supplied new by Huntly Motorcycles, 97 model, first registered in 98 with only 3 local owners in total. Old mot’s and service invoices to back up and verify the mileage, owners manual, two keys with the spare still in its plastic sleeve, tool kit unused under the pillion seat. HPI clear.
New tyres, serviced and has just been mot’d with zero advisories, carbs were stripped and cleaned last year and it rides like a new bike. Not only great fun on the road but a lovely bike to admire and guaranteed to only go up in value when kept in this condition.
You won't find better.
Located in Aberdeen just 15 mins from both airport and train station, any inspection welcomed. Call to discuss rather than message/ offer, thanks.
What the motoring journalists had to say at the time...
"Kawasaki constructed the new ZX-6R for 1995 with its rowdy ‘n’ raw formula and suddenly the sporty and practical CBR was blown into the weeds.
The ZX-6RF1 had a stoating, all-new 599cc motor which, allied to Kawasaki’s ram-air system, gave the bike a rear-wheel 93bhp and an intake roar to die for.
Handling was similarly superb, thanks to good quality suspenders. Suddenly Honda had a fight on its hands and the changes to the 1995 CBR weren’t enough to keep it in top spot. The 6R had won the hearts and minds of the racier middleweight massive.
We reckon it goes even further than that. It’s because of the 6R of 1995 that we have today’s racy middleweights. Fact"
