Description
Matching Engine, Frame & Gearbox Numbers. Original UK supplied machine. It has a very extensive history file with many receipts etc dating back 30 odd years as well as many MOT's going back to 1982 which suggest (although not verified) that the total mileage covered of the machine is around 34, 000 having had a speedometer change at just under 24k miles. The machine underwent a full mechanical overhaul by 'Mechanical Developments' in Stafford fairly recently as verified by a detailed but undated Invoice amounting to just under £6, 000. The Norton starts easily and has a very sweet engine. It runs and rides just as a good Commando should. It is very smooth and pulls really well. Feels just right with the benefit of the upgraded front brake. Very good cosmetically as well but clearly not Concours as it has been used. Only being sold because the last owner now requires an electric starter and has therefore ordered a brand new Norton Commando; TRADE. p/ x welcome.
