Had been dry stored for 7years prior to my purchase, since owning I have carried out some significant recommissioning work, allowing me to use the P38 as a daily.

Work carried out in the last 2 years:
-Full brake overhaul, including replacement of all discs & pads,
all calipers, sliders, brake hoses all round & rear brake lines.
-Full fluid & filter service, including engine oil & filter, auto gearbox oil & filter, transfer box oil, both diff oils, fuel filter, engine air filter and pollen filters, brake fluid & engine coolant.
-Cooling system overhaul including new water pump, new radiator & viscous fan.
-Suspension overhaul with a coil conversion, new shocks all round, front ARB bushes.
-Steering damper replaced as well as both tie rods.
-Driveline overhauled, rear prop rebuilt with new UJ bearings & rubber donut, new front prop shaft, centre diff VCU replaced with re-manufactured unit, front diff rebuilt with new bearings/ seals, front CV boots replaced.
-Fuel injection pump seals replaced.
-Oil cooler hoses replaced.
-Exhaust rear section replaced.
-All relays replaced, BeCM sent away for full function testing & replacement processor.
-Chassis undersealed & cavity wax applied internally to chassis & sills, ACF50 applied inside all doors between skin & frame.
-Facelifted with clear lights & 18" Hurricane alloys fitted with 255/ 55/ R18 INSA Turbo Rangers with ~12mm tread.

All electrical systems work - only minor issue being the OS side speakers do not seem to work.

Auto box runs smoothly with kick down operating nicely, torque convertor locking up at 50-52mph. Minor issue with a low speed/ idle rattle - suspect the flex plate being the cause, however has not caused any issue other than the noise, 2nd hand flex plate available but not had time to replace it. On the odd occasion the gear selector has not indicated in park when it the box is in park - only noticed when attempting to restart the engine as it wont turn over - easily noticed if the gear selector led is not illuminated in park & all that needs to be done is to cycle the gear selector again.

Engine runs smoothly with no heavy oil consumption, pulls well (well as good as the 2. 5 does!).

Interior in good condition with no rips or wear on the velour seats, front water proof seat covers in place. Rear headliner started to sag typically & drivers rubber mat worn through the heel area.

A few age related marks on body work, but overall in very good condition for age. Very low mileage for it's age, due to being dry stored for 7years.

3 owners from new, the first being a Laird!

Significant mechanical overhaul carried out for peace of mind future use.

Very comfortable to drive, as all P38s are - like driving an arm chair. Suspension is still very compliant with the coil spring conversion but now without any of the age related reliability concerns the EAS brings.
