I have owned this car from new and cherished it throughout its life. It has always been garaged and in immaculate condition throughout. Sparkling Galaxy Grey 'Mica' paintwork is in near perfect condition. The car is totally original and has never suffered any form of accident damage or paint repair since new. All wheels in excellent condition, no kerb damage. The black leather interior is in beautiful condition, the boot is also as new, the engine compartment and wheel arches are always kept clean. There is absolutely no rust affecting the bodywork. The car is in original and close to 'as new' condition, with excellent provenance.
Factory fitted optional extras include navigation system and black leather interior. Various Mazda genuine accessories including leather handbrake lever, additional piano black interior trim, bonnet stay dampers, brushed aluminium Rotary crest under front grill and Mazda rear parking sensors.
The car has a full service history. The services have been undertaken by Mazda main dealers and are both stamped up in the service book and supported by all the original accompanying invoices, as follows:

* The service undertaken at 33, 190 miles, just 3, 000 miles ago, was recorded as a combined service and a significant amount of additional work (over and above the usual routine service and oil change) was undertaken to the car at this time, as follows:

Replaced gearbox oil
Replaced differential oil
Cleaned out washer bottle
Replaced both front wiper blades

All of this is documented in the invoice and within the service book.
As noted above, the car has now recently had a further oil and filter change and checks completed on 7 September 2023.
A recent Compression Test undertaken at Mazda RX-8 Specialist, Essex Rotary confirms that the engine has very good compression. The report commented "This engine has very good compression" and "we would be happy to class this engine's health as very good." The report is included in the file of the car's history and can be inspected and verified on request. The RENESIS rotary engine runs as smoothly and sweetly today as it did when I first picked up the car brand new in 2006.
The car has always been kept in my garage when not in use throughout its whole life and the sparkling Galaxy Grey 'Mica' paintwork is polished regularly and is in near perfect condition. All the paintwork is completely original and I can also certify (as the only owner and driver of the car since it was new) that the car has never suffered any form of accident damage or required any form of body or paint repair (including no SMART repairs) throughout the whole of its life. It really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
The Bridgestone Potenza tyres all have plenty of tread. All the wheels are in excellent condition with no kerb damage. The black leather interior is in beautiful condition, the boot is also as new and the engine compartment and wheel arches are always kept clean. There is absolutely no rust affecting the bodywork. The car is still fitted with its original Nyetimber Mazda main dealer number plates that were fitted when the car was new.
In short, the car is in very original and close to 'as new' condition, with excellent provenance. I do not think you will find another Mazda RX-8 in better condition anywhere, inside or out. This is the more powerful, top specification 231 PS Mazda RX-8 model that came as standard (unlike the lesser 192 PS models) with 6-speed gearbox, Xenon headlights with Automatic Headlight Levelling, Headlight washer jets and Aluminium Footrest and pedal set. In addition, this car includes the following additional factory fitted options:
• Leather seats including driver's power seat operation and front heated seats
• DVD navigation system
• Galaxy Grey Mica paint.
Standard equipment also included limited slip differential (LSD), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Premium BOSE audio system with 6-CD autochanger and nine speakers and Thatcham Category 1 alarm with intruder sensor and immobiliser. I still have the original RX-8 sales brochure, vehicle specification brochure, price list and genuine Mazda accessories brochure that I received when buying the car from new, all of which I can pass to the new owner.
This car has also been fitted with the following Mazda genuine RX-8 accessories as featured in the Mazda accessories brochure:
• Mazda rear parking sensor system with colour coded sensors (these were fitted by the supplying Mazda dealer when the car was brand new)
• Mazda bonnet stay dampers (to enable the bonnet to be lifted effortlessly without the need to use a conventional rod)
• Mazda brushed aluminium Rotary crest underneath front grill
• Air outlet fins in front wings
• Mazda leather handbrake lever in black
• Luxury genuine Mazda carpet mat set in black with RX-8 motif
• Mazda Piano black additional centre panel trim and internal door handle inserts.
The car has been kept in my garage since it was new. I also have a tailored fit indoor car cover that can be used to protect the car from dust while stored in the garage and which I can give to the successful purchaser if required. I have been a member of the Mazda RX-8 owners club.
Background and history
The car was bought brand new by me as a factory order from Mazda main dealer, Nyetimber Mazda in Bognor Regis, and first registered on 30 June 2006. I remember today the pride with which I took the train down to Bognor Regis back then to collect the car and drive it back to my home in Ipswich. The Mazda RX-8 is a great car to drive, and this really is one of the best you will ever find.
The car was used regularly by me for its first 6 years, but since 2012 it has only been used very sparingly and only in good weather. In fact, the car covered fewer than 6, 000 miles in the last 12 years and the recorded mileage is now a genuine 36, 252 miles, as evidenced by all the annual MOT certificates that I have retained. The car's MOT has just been renewed and passed with no advisories, running until 23 May 2025. As noted in the previous section, the car has a full service history.
The Mazda RX-8 meets Euro 4 compliant emissions standards and the car is ULEZ compliant, so there are no issues or additional ULEZ charges to pay if driving the car in London.
I have the original Mazda handbook pack and leather wallet that includes the original owner's manual, Navigation System owner's manual, and stamped service book. I am happy to send any further pictures or videos of the car if required on request. I have all the original vehicle keys.
As I have tried to show in the pictures, the car really is in excellent condition throughout. It really needs to be seen to be appreciated. The car was proudly shown off at the Helmingham Festival of Classics and Sports Cars. The Mazda RX-8 is widely predicted to increase in classic status and value over the coming years. The Mazda RX-8 was What Car? magazine "Coupe of the Year" in both 2005 and 2006 and is famous for both its RENISIS rotary engine and "Freestyle" doors that blend good looks with added flexibility and practicality.
