Kept within the same family from import till the present and verified by all the supplied import/ export paperwork, this R-Limited was originally imported by Son for Father, who maintained and preserved for just under 13 years until unfortunately PASSING AWAY in 2023. Ownership was reinstated back to the son, till current. Accompanying the above mentioned import/ export paperwork, is the original owners manuals, Japanese service history and a handful of UK invoices with servicing carried out by the owner personally. Exterior
Paintwork - The 'Satellite Blue Mica' paintwork presents in a stunning all around condition, recently treated to a full 3 stage machine polish and coating for correction and future preservation. Only a few minimal age related blemishes remain, of which being a touch up on the passenger door and 1-2 stone chips on the headlight covers. There are no scratches or dents to report, paying respect to the regarded level of ownership.
Structural - The problematic sills and rear arches showcase all their original spot welds to verify no major repairs nor rust throughout the 30 year lifespan, a very uncommon and sought after sight on MX-5's. The underside has fortunately been left untouched and presents well with minimal age/ mileage expected wear, still wearing its factory protection instead of any concerning aftermarket underseal.
Wheels + Tyres - The full set of factory fitted 15" BBS Alloys present very well, with no damage or curbing, only minimal age expected wear and tear to flaw. All 'BBS' caps secure and remove as they should. The front tyres are a matching pair of 2021 Toyo Proxes, with the rears wrapped in a matching pair of 2020 Presto HP, both with great tread and no signs of cracking.
Trims - All trims have been freshly coated and protected for longevity, and show only minimal signs of age related wear and tear ; there is nothing specific to flaw.
Convertible Top - The original vinyl soft top has been fortunately upgraded to the more durable and robust mohair soft top with a glass rear window. This removes any possibility of rips, stretches or tears in the rear screen or roof itself. This specific roof is completely watertight and presents in in great condition inside and out.
Interior
Accessories - All electrics are working exactly as they should. The radio has been upgraded to a Bluetooth Pioneer with charging capabilities, adding a modern touch to the entirely standard and refined R-Limited red interior. Both the Nardi Wheel and Shift Knob show no lacquer or wood peeling and are both in great condition.
Dashboard, Trim, Upholstery - Both front seats, which are prone to wear, have been professionally retrimmed at a great expense as of last year and still present faultlessly. The adjusters for both seats have suffered some fading and discolouring, as well as the dashboard corners which are slightly damaged from the use of the doors over years and would benefit from a retrim/ replacement. There is a slight rip on the very lower section of the drivers door card.
Mechanical
Overall Mechanical Health Evaluation - Subject to a full underside and mechanical check by an MX-5 specialist, this MX-5 is warranted with a 'good to go' condition. The engine itself runs and operates faultlessly, fitted with an high-end immobiliser with 2 fobs. The 'cam cover' was removed and cambelt inspected and visually showed as recently replaced ; a genuine Mazda cam cover gasket was then supplied upon refitting to rectify slight weeping. The original Bilstein shocks and springs are still present in great condition, with no unwanted knocks or any noises as such. All perishables have been assessed and both front ball joints were replaced with genuine Mazda consumables.
