1955 wide line featherbed frame. This frame has been in the jig at Dresda Autos so is guaranteed to be square and straight. The engine is a 1960 Thunderbird which is now 750cc. The engine and gearbox were both rebuilt at Dresda with new mains bearings , big ends, barrels, pistons and rings and oil pump. The wheels are Dunlop ally rims with stainless steel spokes and nickel plated nipples rebuilt by Wills Wheels. The frame is powder coated. New Amal Mk1 600 & 900 series carburettor. Mead Speed half fairing and screen. Twin leading shoe front brake. New tyres. GPS speedometer. New exhaust pipes and silencers. Spax electronic ignition. New seat upholstery and paintwork. Belt primary drive and new secondary chain. Top yoke and Norton straight bars included.
This bike has never been on the road so the milage is zero since the rebuild. There are one or two minor items that need attention to finish this bike off. The rear chain goes slack and tight and the wiring is untidy in places. The tacho wiring needs finishing and oil for the front forks is required. The crankcase breather needs redirecting to the rear of the bike. The engine sounds lovely and is exactly right for the image. I have lost interest in this project but would like to see it go to a good home. Thousands of pounds have been spent on the rebuild but sensible offers will be considered. Any questions please ask.
