Description
I’ve owned this Elan since 2015 and have carried out a long list of work over the years.
In no particular order
Suspension- new shocks, springs, bushes and re-plated all the arms.
Brakes- I changed front and back calipers using the PNM upgrade as well as discs and pads.
Wheels have been refurbed.
Brit Car Nut’s Short shift gear change - (which is a massive improvement!)
PNM exhaust (2. 5” I think), sounds lovely.
Samco coolant hoses and stainless clips upgraded circulating pump.
New cambelt last summer, new PAS steering pipe and fluid change.
Refurbed driveshafts
New supply and return fuel lines
Original tool kit (with penknife)
Leather interior
Rebuilt headlamp motors
Always been serviced every 12 months, and whenever anything has been changed, I’ve always used new nuts and bolts, copper slip.
PNM door weather strips
It’s got the Chris P light pod on the back so has led lights. I put this on because I was getting paranoid about being rear ended and the original lights (pretty unobtainable) getting broken. I have the original lights (there is a hairline crack on one of them) and it’s about 6 bolts and 20 minutes to put it back to original if required.
Leather interior with yellow piping.
Bad bits:
The divers bolster is starting to show wear, but not holed or torn.
The roof seals are pretty poor and will need replacing at some stage, it doesn’t leak but looks a bit messy.
Before I got it, the boot had been broken into and the lock was damaged. It can be opened by a key and there is also a pull strip inside to open it.
The larger bore exhaust can catch against the rear wishbone when compressed suddenly, going over a sleeping policeman or pothole for example.
10 months MOT - no advsories
Numberplate not included in sale.
