Description
This E63-generation BMW M6 is a sleek modern performance coupe, presented in a timeless all-black colour scheme.
Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 5. 0-litre V10 derived from the BMW V10 unit used in the 2004 Williams Formula One car, delivering around 500bhp to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission with option for fully automatic or paddle shift gear changes.
First registered in June 2006, this example has been with me (it’s 5th owner) since Jan 2020, and boasts the all-important rod bearing upgrade.
The odometer is noted to show approximately 104, 000 miles from new. The car is still used daily so this mileage is likely to rise.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This M6 is finished in the Black Sapphire metallic paintwork with high-gloss Shadowline trim, over a black Merino leather-trimmed cabin, punctuated by silver-toned and carbon-fibre trim accents.
It rides on refinished 19-inch ‘Style 167’ alloys, which are fitted with Continental (front) and Goodyear (rear) tyres. The wheels were refurbished by Lepsons in 2021 taken from being diamond cut to a solid Stain Lamborghini Bronze.
Equipment includes a head-up display, a Professional Hi-Fi system (inc Sat Nav), a 6-disc CD changer, Bluetooth connectivity, Park Distance Control, high beam assist, adaptive headlights, auto dimming mirrors, a climate comfort windscreen, carbon-fibre interior trim, and an Anthracite Alcantara headlining.
Modifications include a Droid UK infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, black kidney grilles, upgraded ‘angel eye’ headlights, and an aftermarket reversing camera. The original CCC infotainment screen and OEM chrome grilles can both be provided.
The original owner’s manual and service book will be included in the sale, as well as two key fobs, and a solid folder of paperwork and history for the car.
In general the car is in very good condition, please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
The car displays a ‘rear number plate light fault’ code which is caused by the aftermarket reverse camera linked to the replacement infotainment system. This can be easily rectified by removing the camera, and replacing the number plate light with an OEM light, if required.
The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 18 June 2024 at 103, 541 miles, for which it was treated to new tyres all round.

SUMMARY
This E63-generation BMW M6 is a smart example of the powerful modern performance car. Presented in a timeless colour scheme, with the all-important rod bearing replacement, and having been well-maintained from new, it should now make an exciting companion for weekend drives, or could continue its use as a rapid daily driver. I bought the car purely because it met my general criteria - has to be different, has to be able to transport a family of four and must be fast and fun. This car more than meets that criteria. The car performs effortlessly and with a soundtrack I’m going to miss. The car has easily coped with family weekend camping trips and has enough room for my 6ft son to sit in the back (which he did for 6hours to North Holland only this year). So why am I selling? Quite simply, I now work much closer to home, too far to walk at all hours (am a shift worker) but not far enough for the car to properly warm up. As such, I don’t want to cause damage through regular very short journeys and cold engine use and after 4. 5 years of having her, am now in a position where my eldest will be learning to drive in November and no longer need all four seats. It’s time the car provides another deserving owner with a bucket load of fun.
