Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon (aka G-Class) is a 4x4 "terrain vehicle", originally developed as a military off-roader in Austria. The car is characterised by its industrial boxy looks and body-on-frame construction; it uses three fully locking differentials which makes it rather unique, yet highly capable. The G-Class is one of the companies longest production running vehicles with a span of 42 years. This example is the first generation of the G-Class known (1979-1992), there were three engine options and five body variants with this particular example packing the robust 2. 9L diesel.
The “Wolf” version of the G Wagon was developed specifically for military use, they have now been deployed by over 45 nations including the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
