I have owned the Cougar for around 6 years and it has hardly been used in that time other than for a few trips and for promotional photo shoots etc.
Does not get enough use so reluctantly it is time to sell it on.
It is in overall great condition for it's age and drives very nicely.
It is not immaculate but everything works and it has been well looked after.
Just before I took ownership it had a substantial amount of work done which included -
Performance roller timing set.
Rolling rockers.
Holley 650 four barrel carburettor, Edelbrook four barrel inlet manifold.
Flowtech headers.
Edelbrock Elite valve covers and air filter.
Engine block respray.
Fuel pump, water pump, alternator, starter motor.
Reconditioned brake master cylinder.
Reconditioned wiring loom.
Electronic ignition.
Electronic control unit for rear sequential indicators.
Stainless steel exhaust system.
Cragar wheels, Cooper Cobra tyres.
Extra instruments (rev counter, water temp, oil pressure).
Panasonic radio/ CD.
New battery this year.
There is a history file with the car including MOT certificates back to 1989.
Parts are readily available as it is mechanically very similar to the Ford Mustang.
As it is a 1968 Cougar there is no road tax to pay or MOT needed and the classic insurance is very reasonable. This Cougar just looks superb, sounds awesome and is a real eye catcher but unfortunately it does not get used nearly as often as it should so it is time to pass it on to someone who can take care of it and use it more than it currently gets used.
