1992 Ford Sierra Van, 1. 8TD, manual, Mk3.
Imported from The Netherlands in 2005, UK registered.
Factory built van(not offered in UK) with Dutch commercial high roof conversion from new.
Used daily for ten years, then extensively renovated/ restored ten years ago, including several new panels (sills, bonnet, door, arches, one wing etc) and (2k Poly) full repaint in original Ford Diamond white.
Rear side panels, and the one in the left hand door have been replaced by welded in sections, replacing the factory fitted ally panels and rubbers.
Underbody cleaned and painted in RX7 black. Cavities and inside panels all treated with RX3/ 5.
Virtually unused since. Has done two car shows, then stored indoors.
Just had full engine service, including cam belt/ tensioner. New rear brakes(shoes, cylinders etc), and a new handbrake cable. New battery.
Not currently tested, but will come with a new MOT.
Has powdercoated Ghia/ 4x4 alloys, Sony CD/ Radio, GLS front seats, dr cards, carpet, electric front windows, loadspace partition, professionally tinted tailgate screen and right hand door glass.
Van is in good condition, but not mint. Drives well , other than in snow, always starts easily.
Requires a new heater matrix fitted. A new one comes with the van , the old one is still in place, but blocked and bypassed. Also the right hand rear door is stuck closed, might have a lock fault, not sure.
Batttery tray needs a refurb or a new one. Roof aerial not connected. Headliner needs a new edge, is tatty atm.
A new loadspace carpet, would improve the interior, a job I never got to do.
Extremely reluctant sale due to ill health, no recent lottery win, and nowhere to store it. That said, the price is fixed, I will not accept any offers, that is the least I will take for it, just to be clear.
Last thing, please note the licence plates shown in the photos are for show only. New UK metal plates(with correct period font) will come with the van.
