Description
We took this very original '73 R75/ 5 in p/ x for one of our custom builds . He owned it for six years and was the second owner since being imported from Germany in 2017. He maintained it well ( invoices for work done and parts bought in paperwork file) with recent new tyres , battery and front brake shoes. We've also changed the oils in the engine , transmission final drive and adjusted the valve clearances. There's lots of stainless fasteners/ filler plugs etc.
The instrument panel has recently been replaced with a brand new one due to the original one failing and has only covered 88 miles since. We have the original one which shows approx 82, 000kms (53, 000miles).
The bike starts and rides really well with a smooth light clutch and very good gearbox. There are some spares and an owners/ workshop manual copy. The bikes is Historic registered so no tax or mot needed and is ULEZ charges exempt.
There's still a great parts supply available for these bikes via Motorworks, Motobins, James Sherlock etc.
A very usable, well built appreciating classic.
