Excellent example of an e32 7 series with the M30B30 engine. This car was purchased new in 1990 by well known cinematographer Douglas Slocombe and retained after his death by his daughter until April 2023 when I bought it. It has been garaged most of its life and is in good all round condition for its age. It has been serviced mostly at main dealers including a top end overhaul by HR Owen in 2017 at a cost of circa £4800.
It has been an ongoing project for myself repairing various dents and paint blemishes culminating with a partial re-spray in September. It is very useable with the engine and transmission performing as expected and feeling as good wafting around town as on the motorway. Local use leads to figures of 18mpg but several long journeys last year returned figures close to 30mpg.
I’ve done around 6000 miles in the past two years and the car has been an absolute pleasure to own and ‘fettle’ in that time. This represents an opportunity to acquire a rust free example at a moderate price.
