1989 Citroen AX GT - Rare Opportunity to Recommission a Sought After Car
68, 000 miles - 3 previous keepers - Rare Silver Colour
This GT has been parked inside since 2018 having been owned for a number of years by a collector. I bought it with the intention of recommissioning it myself over the winter. I thought I would offer it out for sale before I make a start, so not in a rush to get rid.
Underneath is remarkably clean, sills look to be in a good order. Engine bay welding has already been completed. Boot floor is showing signs of going, as are the rear quarters but these are both easy jobs, panels are cheap.
Paintwork isn’t great, particularly bonnet and O/ S wing. Would certainly benefit from a front end respray in my opinion.
The interior presents extremely nicely indeed and is completely original, the seats are in a great condition. Only thing that lets it down is a cracked dash.
It runs and drives quite nicely, happily idles once warmed up and off choke, gearbox and clutch feel fantastic. the usual recommissioning jobs are still to do (i. e. full service, brakes, coolant flush etc).

I am open to sensible offers but as said if it does not sell I will keep and recommission it myself over the winter months. Very rare, low mileage car
