Built July 1991, registered October as it originally belonged to the BMW dealership in Slough. It was sold to the first private owner in London in 1993 who owned it until 2016, I have owned it for the 9 years since. In its 33 year life it has only covered 92k miles.
As BMWs flagship model it comes equipped with many modern features including electrically adjustable seats & mirrors, electric windows front and rear, electric sunroof and remote central locking. It even has reverse parking sensors.
The car drives very well with plenty of power, great for cruising down the motorway, the auto gearbox is reliable and smooth.
The body and chassis are good and solid and have never needed welding. Paintwork is reasonable but is showing some signs of age with some lacquer peel around the bonnet and a couple of areas of the doors which have been resprayed. The original BBS-alloy wheels are in fair condition.
The original grey leather interior is in good condition. The stereo comes complete with cassette deck and a 10-CD changer in the boot, though these have not been used for several years!
It’s a solid, reliable and rare car which always draws attention. Ready to be used and enjoyed or could be a show car without too much work.
