We’re an old fashioned and traditional Classic Mini Specialist based in Sheffield, small enough to put 100% of our passion and expertise into the re-design and remaking of each example. Classic 1988 Austin Mini 1000cc - Restored
Behind the wheel she combines that raw feeling of power with 600kg of weight and that legendary, Monte Carlo rally-winning classic-Mini handling to provide you with a terrific and/ or terrifying driving experience. Fuelled by the classical carburettor fuelling method, she whisks you back to another era, the sounds and the smells of the sixties and seventies.
Mechanically she’s lovely and original, revving her 1000cc engine, it is perfect and smooth, moving through the gears is effortless, a phenomenal amount of money has been invested within other aspects, new or relatively new metalwork and subframes, chrome-work and spotlights, brakes and steering rack, plus the Halogen light upgrade.
She is supplied ready to drive, ready to go, with a recent mot and no advisories, with a comprehensive service of her brakes, cooling system, engine and gearbox and having recently been professionally tuned by a well known tuning specialist to optimise her performance. She is HPI clear with no history of accidents or finance.
Driving her semi-daily, she has been very reliable and a lovely little motor. My sister reports that sometimes her gauges are not precise, sometimes her speedometer and fuel gauge jump in and out of action, such not being unusual for a Mini, not sufficient to warrant changing them as they are the originals. The Cooper Livery and second fuel cap are not original, she pre-dates the Cooper. Some minor marks from use maybe, her sunroof is sealed closed so is now just a glass roof, I think you would love her.
