This Mercedes-Benz was my works commutor in my care since 2017.
On the road it looks and feels dignified, handsome, classy; it's quiet sophistication certainly turns heads, gains smiles, with some offers to buy. Regularly maintained and driven.
500 is torquey and easily pulls through traffic with smooth acceleration and sporty GT engine note, economical when driven with care yet loves a heavy foot. Consumpt. extra urban 24mpg, urban circa 18mpg on premium E5 ethanol 99 octane. 95 E10 is also ok and I treat the fuel with Dipetane fuel stabiliser.
Classic H historic in seven months: mot, ulez, cc, road tax exempt.
Car colour is the super-rare diamond blue. Seats are hen's teeth: velvet mohair velour navy blue bolsters with central grey padding with black piping. Navy blue vinyl code 132 completes the interior.
Original Blaupunkt SQR45 Cassette Radio, new capacitors lights and head unit restoration with Bluetooth upgrade. Tape Cassette deck works, antenna works, new speakers.
Latest restoration work:
New brakes, discs, rotors, lines, DOT 3 mineral hydraulic brake fluid, new Michelin Energy Saver 205/ 65 R15 tyres (to match original Mercedes-Benz SEC 126-C forecourt Michelin XWX tyres), new KYB shock dampeners, new door & boot straps, boot and door seals, new Yuasa 100AH battery, new Conti belts, new FEBI timing chain & guides, new SWAG oiler lines, new MANN air, FEBI transmission filters, NGK BP6ES plugs, new Power Steering ATF hydraulics, differential, transmission, Castrol engine oils. New propshaft FEBI gumi spider connectors, new FEBI fan clutch, new FEBI driveline bushes, joints, links. New fuel pump. Pneumatic central locking all works. All grease points serviced. New pneumatic vacuum engine lines. Alternator charge optimum.
New fuses and lights throughout the car, seats are covered and protected because the mohair is unobtainium. Boot, petrol filler, doors open and lock with central locking. Electric sunroof works great and does not leak.

Future things to fix:
Aircon requires new Denso Nippon Compressor. Switches and AC Drier is new.
Cruise control NOK
Different keys but with original keyage & key fobs.
Add Blaupunkt amplifier to radio system.
Driver window wants gluing to base it doesn't drop in lifter carrier.
Cosmetics:
Wood trim needs replacing and dash crack repair due sun damage.
Body clear coat paint restore.
Body mounts front/ rare require replacement.

Kept covered under tarp and heavy canvas, fully protected from weather.

For sale due to new company car EV driving policy.
Car is sold complete with toolkit, spare wheel equipment, literature. Sold as seen on sight. Cash or BACS on transfer of V5C. Awaiting H tax, is insured and ready to drive away. It was the premium Mercedes-Benz of it's time, no expense was spared in design and manufacture.
This car was London based and used for business across several owners until it came into my care.
I've restored most of this car's requirements and there's more to do.
