Description
1999 (T reg) series 1 Lotus Elise with just 22, 000 miles from new. Essentially unmodified, with exceptions being a stainless sports exhaust & decat pipe (fitted in 2005 when the original silencer looked like it was close to the end of its life!) and an Eliseparts pressure relief thermostat kit to prolong the life of the head gasket. It will come with the original catalytic converter and the parts removed when the PRT kit was fitted.
It has been looked after throughout our ownership and before, with a wide range of maintenance work in the recent past (in addition to regular oil changes etc.), including:
Timing belt and water pump
New front brake discs and pads (Mintex 1144) last year.
Rear brake calipers replaced.
Brake master cylinder replaced.
Goodridge brake hoses all round (with full brake fluid change at the same time).
New Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 tyres all round.
New hood.
Gear linkage bushes replaced.
Gearbox oil changed.
Comes with 2 keys, original owner’s manual and service book (which is full of stamps). MOT (no advisory items) until 20/ 6/ 2025. A beautiful example of the benchmark series 1 Lotus Elise, in the best colour! Originally supplied by JCT600 Leeds, this car has been in the same family since 2004, owned by Father and Son over the last 21 years. Back in 2004 I bought this one because it was an original, low mileage example in excellent condition and it still is today.
