Description
This beautiful Norton Commando Roadster was restored around 2010/ 2011 using many Andover Norton and Norvil-supplied parts and modifications, most noticeably the up-rated front brake. The machine was unregistered when acquired by the vendor in 2012 and in 2017 was registered with an age-related number. This Commando has been fully restored from the ground upwards to an exceptionally high standard. Stainless steel fixings have been used throughout, while other notable features include Boyer Bransden Electronic ignition; a new wiring loom; new wheel rims and spokes; polished alloy throughout; all new paintwork (including frame) etc.
Since restoration the machine has been kept in a humidity-controlled environment. Turned over regularly, the engine has only been run for minutes at a time so will need careful running-in by the new owner. Careful re-commissioning will be needed as the machine has not been ridden since the rebuild's completion . Once run-in this Commando should be an absolute pleasure to ride, benefiting from modifications to improve both performance and reliability while remaining highly original in appearance. Accompanying paperwork consists of an old MoT certificate, dating letters and a V5C document.
