Description
For sale is my daily vehicle, which for the past 2. 5 years & 40, 000 miles, has effortlessly transported me the 100 miles return journey to work and plenty holidays in between.
It is a completely unmodified vehicle and to inspect the factory specification I recommend using mdecoder . com which only requires a partial VIN number of PX95796.
The vehicle is in generally good condition. The interior in particular is in excellent condition with only minor wear and tear to the drivers seat and interior plastics which usually look horrendous on this generation of BMWs. There are no faults with any of the electronics, nor any warning lights. The only known issue is the 'seat belt butler' which this model featured, which still works but for the driver's side no longer catches the seat belt as it extends. I bought the car with this issue and haven't seen need to fix. I reach for the seat belt as you would any other car! The vehicle has a working AUX input which works well with a bluetooth transmitter.
The exterior of the vehicle presents well with no rust. There are minor imperfections on the bonnet and roof where home stone chip repairs have been performed. There is a minor scratch on the boot which has also been touched up using a home kit. Overall paintwork is good but as with any car would benefit from a professional detail if an owner so choosed. I'm a religious car cleaning and only quality products such as megauirs or autoglym.
Mechanically, the car has a full service history with stamped log book and a number of additional receipts for any other work done to the car in my ownership. The service of the vehicle is based on the 'condition based service' module in the car, with the most recent being in February 2025 for a brake fluid change. I additionally had the collant flushed and replaced as part of preventative maintenance. Discs and pads were replaced last year with no lip present on the discs. Tyres all have good tread (69% according to vehicle condition check in February). Unfortuantely a flat tyre (nail) has caused a replacement of one rear tyres and therefore the rear tyres are non-matching. The alloys wheels are like new having been refurbished in 2024.
The vehicle performs faultlessly on the road, pulling cleanly with no gearbox or engine issues. It is also incredibly well put together with no rattles, squeaks or other unusal noises. Every MOT or service, the vehicle condition, especially underneath, is commented upon as excellent.
In the interest of full disclosure, I have recently noticed a faint smell of exhuast coming through the interior vents at idle. Prime suspect is likely exhaust maniford gasket requiring replacement. This does not occur when on the move or when using interior recirculation but nevertheless will likely require attention at some point. I've throughly enjoyed owning this vehicle. I have recently purchased 2 new vehicles, 1 being another coupe (new generation Ford Mustang) and the other a hatchback. Unfortunately I require the versatility of the hatchback and therefore couldn't have 2 coupes.
I will miss the glorious sound of the BMW 6 cylinder and the way the vehicle makes you well when driving. It's a effortless cruiser, returning up to 40mpg on longer trips while getting you there in comfort.
