Beskrivning
Not to be confused with a rebuilt vehicle - this car has been loved and garaged all its life and it shows - feels like a new car inside and when driving - owned and maintained by a classic motor industry professional and professional mechanic also . Original - Not repainted or restored Lido green paint and a German market supplied car with German logbook , full paperwork and full history . 3 owners - last owner had it 34 years and it’s been a regular at Stanford Hall concours class 4 category- just scored well in this years event also - Insurance Agreed value is 12k - this car is as good as they get - very original and with some subtle period improvements- new alloys , quality tires , tuned engine with 1641cc and matching updated internals - and 39mm single carb with a panel K&N filter - looks standard and drives well and keeps up with modern traffic . Lovely high back seats from new - not many Beetles from this period are of such high quality . Regularly maintained
All original bar some upgrades - peppy 1641 engine built in the 80’s - Engle 110 cam , milling oil pump , ratio rockers , Autocaven valve springs - Empi alloy wheels with Firestone fronts and Dunlop sp sports rears and cb performance dropped spindles meaning a lower front suspension @60mm
An absolutely awesome Beetle in a fabulous colour - show trophies included - unrepeatable
Selling as I like a change every few years - not urgent to sell - but would consider deal or swop on a type 3 , 60’s Bug or Ghia . I’ve been advised this car is worth more than the original price - happy to negotiate!
You need to see this car - concours vehicle not perfect but good enough to not come last !! - you could not restore a bug for anywhere near this price and they are only original once -update - going into Central Valley VW for a 2 inch narrowed beam and new ate master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders in Nov -just had a time up and new vintage speed exhaust - price is pretty firm as I have just spent more money and comparable Beetles are more money . 3 owners , original German logbook full service history and paperwork file
Magazine featured in 1985 - really well known car through tbe decades at Stanford hall - can’t believe it’s not been snapped up yet
