EXTERIOR
With only 59k miles under its belt this attractive GP1 presents in superb condition. Having just been treated to a full detail and machine polish the paintwork retains a great depth of shine, including the wheel arch trims and body kit which in this case are also finished in Thunder Blue metallic. Finer details such as the headlights and chrome elements are first-rate all round, and the brand new 18-inch x 8J Cooper S alloy wheels are completely unmarked. Better than the plain looking GP1 wheels. Brand new Bridgestone 225/ 40 R18 88Y Treadwear 280 Traction A Temperature DOT 7GT7 P60 Run Flat Tyres

INTERIOR
Opening the door you’re greeted by an excellent original R53 Mini interior, although being one of only 1, 000 GP1s ever produced there a few notable differences over a standard JCW Cooper S. In line with the low mileage the Recaro seats are very well presented and despite having such deep bolsters they hint at only light use. The leather remains feeling soft and supple with a nice matte sheen throughout. The dash and switchgear are also in fine order and the pleasingly the original Mini CD player is still in place. Everything works as it should including the Air Conditioning.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The engine bay is very clean and original with no signs of any damage, modifications, or previous poor repair. Despite having driven only 59k miles, most recent service November 2024. The supercharged 1. 6-litre engine is as strong as ever, and the slick 6-speed manual ‘box still feels tight and precise.
The real gem was underneath the hood where the engineers fitted a supercharged (yes, supercharged) 1. 6-liter engine that made 218 horsepower and 218 pound-feet (250 Newton meters) of torque. The tiny-but-mighty car needed just six and a half seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/ h) and topped out at 149 mph (240 km/ h). Aside from a punchy engine, MINI fitted a limited-slip front differential and a stiffer suspension with a 10-mm lowered ride height.
