For sale is my Morgan 3 wheeler Superdry edition, one of only 200 worldwide. A very rare and much admired vehicle.
This Morgan was supplied by Melvyn Rutter and first registered in November 2015 in the UK. I purchased the vehicle from Brands Hatch Morgans and imported it into France in January 2018. I am the second owner and have had the Morgan for over 7 years. It is right hand drive.
As a 2015 model this vehicle already has all of the Morgan updates which had to be retrofitted to earlier vehicles, and has been totally reliable. Some regard this age of M3W as the “sweet spot” - incorporating all of the factory modifications and upgrades from experience with the earlier models, but without the performance reduction associated with the later Euro 4 models.
The Morgan was serviced by official Morgan dealers while in the UK and during my ownership I have carried out the servicing myself. This has mainly consisted of an oil and filter change every year, regardless of the low mileage covered.
It has had the following new components recently :
- new tyres front and rear
- new battery
- new clutch master cylinder
When I purchased the Morgan it had covered 7, 000 miles (11, 000 Km). I have covered a further 7, 000 miles during my ownership (over 7 years) and the total mileage is now 13, 900 (22, 000 Km).
Included in the sale are the following items :
- original tool kit and storage pouch
- mohair tonneau cover
- a matching superdry leather jacket
- a superdry travel bag
- a pair of aviator goggles
- two keys and immobiliser fob
In addition to the usual SuperDry options the Morgan has heated, leather quilted seats and leather storage pockets.
The car has never been used in the rain and is dry stored inside my house under a cover.
Overall condition is excellent. Controle Technique (French MOT) was carried out in Sep 2024 with no defaults, and is valid for three years. French registration document (Carte Grise) is in my name. It would be very easy to re-import the vehicle to the UK and return to the original UK registration, if required.
The Morgan creates interest wherever it goes, with lots of people asking questions and wanting to take photographs. I have thoroughly enjoyed the ownership experience and having the opportunity to drive such a unique car. However, I have to admit that it is now very rarely used as I have a number of other vehicles. Mileage in the last two years has been less than 500 Km. I am under no pressure to sell as I have the space and there is a great pride of ownership associated with this vehicle, even if I am not using it very much.
It is located near Cahors in southwest France. Cheap flights are available to nearby airports in Toulouse and Bergerac.
Note that I travel frequently and my availability is limited, as I only spend about 3-4 months of the year here in France - another reason the Morgan gets very little use. When abroad I may not be able to receive telephone calls so please send initial enquiries by message.
