USA spec Blackbird
Triumph produced this black and gold option for the American market in 1953/ 54 with high rise Western handlebars with longer control cables. Based on the 6T Thunderbird it has the sprung hub, SU carburettor and black centred gold lined chrome wheel rims.
Fully restored over the winter by Triumph specialist, everything renewed or restored with powder coated frame and cycle parts, black petrol tank with gold and chrome tank badges.
Gear box and transmission rebuilt, engine has +. 020” new 7-1 pistons, standard shell bearing crankshaft, new main bearings, new chains, new cloth covered wiring loom, refurbished speedometer, refurbished magneto and Dynamo and switches.
With new Avon tyres and partly run in with 200 miles on the clock.
