Description
1982 Range Rover Classic ‘In Vogue’ Automatic
Three series of In Vogues were built and this is one of the second series vehicles. The In Vogues reflect the first serious steps by Land Rover to take the Range Rover up-market and the launch of the first series 2-door in 1981 was associated with an article in ‘Vogue’magazine (hence the name).
The second series In Vogues were the first Range Rovers to have automatic transmission the ‘bulletproof’ 727 transmission you would also find in an early Dodge Charger.
The specification included wood trim, carpets, head and arm rests and a Phillips radio.
An extremely rare bit of Land Rover history, the only other car I’m aware of is currently in the Dunsfold collection.
In 1984 this car was fitted with an Alpinair air conditioning system making it even rarer.
Original build sheet is with the car.
Runs and drives well with the carbs having been recently overhauled.
Any questions or to have a look give me a shout.
