I'm sadly selling my 1972 fuel injection TR6 with overdrive in red.
This is a multiple show award winning car and has been displayed at the NEC classic car show in 2024. It is one of the best examples around and runs extremely well, is very reliable and has loads of history documents and receipts dating back to the '80s.
Subject to an earlier body off restoration this car has had no expense spared on it with over £48000 of documented receipts and has previously been maintained by TR Bitz and TR Trader.
It has had several sympathetic reliability, performance and safety upgrades to make this a very useable, dependable and great looking car to drive whilst still retaining its originality as much as possible.
Reliability upgrades include: Rewired with modern wiring fuses and relays, electric fan, hi-torque starter, Bosch type fuel pump, Electronic ignition, ethanol proof fuel hoses and seals, LED lights, poly suspension bushes, Prestige Injection metering unit and throttle body underslung linkage, emergency bonnet release catch, wheel arch liners, spin on oil filter, frame strengthening.
Performance upgrades include: Unleaded head, Zircotec ceramic coated exhaust manifold, Hi Spec 4 pot front brake calipers and vented discs, SPAX adjustable gas rear shock absorbers, Phoenix stainless steel exhaust, overdrive smart electronic logic box.
Safety Upgrades include: Black leather MX-5 high back seats with headrests, inertial reel 3-point seat belts.
Sympathetic upgrades include: Polished burr walnut dashboard, smiths dashboard clock in place of redundant rheostat lights dimmer, 13" leather Mota-Lita steering wheel.
A new interior in 2021, a new mohair soft top and cover and a recent full Dinitrol underbody and chassis rust prevention treatment show the care this car has had lavished on it.
I'll also include an indoor dust cover and boxes of spares and parts that I have collected over the years.
