Model history
The Triumph TR6, produced from 1969 to 1976, is one of the brand's most iconic British roadsters. It is distinguished by its angular design penned by Karmann, while keeping the TR5/ TR250’s mechanical underpinnings. Powered by a 2. 5-litre inline-six, it delivers solid performance and a distinctly sporty character. Very popular, notably in the United States, the TR6 is today one of Triumph's most sought-after by collectors.
The Triumph TR6, offered here, is a 1973 model. It replaces the TR5. It retains the same mechanical base with a 2. 5-litre engine of 104 bhp with Stromberg carburettors, a four-speed manual gearbox, but adopts a more contemporary style than the TR4 and TR5: a more developed and better-controlled engine (smoothness, reliability and ease of use), improved equipment and safety (more comprehensive dashboard, upgraded seats, better insulation, reinforced windscreen roll bar).
