Description
1967 Triumph Spitfire Mk3 – Well-Maintained, Honest Example – Drives Superb
Offered for sale is my 1967 Triumph Spitfire Mk3 in white, a charming and well-sorted example of this iconic British sports car. I purchased the car in 2021 from established specialists Camberley Marine and Sports Car (now Toro Sports Cars).
Ahead of the sale, the car underwent a full service, and again more recently in late 2023 by Triumph experts Enginuity (London), with £1, 162 of work carried out – invoice included. New battery replaced this year.
Over the past four years, the car has been lightly used, covering just over 500 miles per year, and has always been kept in dry storage. Mechanically, it’s in great condition. The engine pulls well with a responsive throttle, the gearbox is smooth with no crunching, and there are no unwanted noises from the engine bay, steering column, or underside. Having previously owned a later Mk4, I can confidently say this Mk3 is a more engaging and enjoyable drive overall.
Cosmetically, the car is not concours – it’s a presentable and honest example that has benefitted from previous restoration work. The paint and chrome are tidy, with age-appropriate imperfections that suit a classic of this era and price point. It’s the kind of car you won’t mind driving and enjoying as intended.
Included in the sale are a folder of previous MOTs and maintenance invoices. Viewings are welcome by appointment in either London (Kings Cross) or Weybridge, Surrey.
Only for sale as I’m reducing my collection – it’s priced to sell and ready to be enjoyed this spring.
