Old enough to be registered as historic, V5 in my name, UK bike. Powder coated frame. Starts, runs and drives OK. Six speed gearbox with electric and kick start, not the five speed with kick start only. All the lights and other electrics work. It charges fine and I have put an electronic ignition on it so once set correctly, the points will never need looking at again. All the gears work and it revs fine. The indicators all work but are an embarrassment to any normal person. The original air filter is missing and someone has fitted the small pod filters.
This is the updated model that has the oil leak problems solved, it has the external oil feed to the head rather than the oil feed through the cylinders. There is a dent in the tank, looks like someone wearing a cast iron cod piece may have been a bit too enthusiastic mounting it.
The only thing stopping you using it is the leaking master cylinder though the brake works fine as long as it has fluid in.
Needs: Battery. Master cylinder sorting. Carbs setting up.
I bought this to replace my 1975 one that leaks oil but having got it going and driven it the riding position is way too low for my lanky frame and I just do not like it as much as my five speed leaky one.
