Description
1976 Kawasaki Z900 A4 imported from Michigan USA in October 2014 and built for display at the 2015 Classic Bike show by non other than Dave Marsden owner of Z Power at the time, and who wrote the Original Kawasaki Restorers Guide book, (signed copy with the bike). I contacted Dave prior to buying the bike in 2021 and he confirmed he built the bike for a friend of his and to quote from his email 'all the engine parts were replaced, all cam chain bits, valves, rings etc so it should be ok for ever' and has only covered around 3, 300 miles since then.
As you can see from the photos the bike is still in stunning order which is no surprise having been built by the best, and not a winter garage project by an amateur restorer. I bought the bike in April 2021 and have only covered the 267 miles shown on the trip since. I had the exact same UK bike and rode it round Europe in the late 70's (LEN 782P if anyone know where that is) and wanted to re-visit that as many of us do and spent a long time looking for the best example and when I read the provenance of this one I had no doubt it was the best out there.
The bike starts first time and does everything as it should and is admired wherever I park it.
It comes with 2 keys that both work all 3 locks (ignition, seat and steering) the handbook copy emails from Z Power and signed restorers guide. Priced reasonable for what it is but open to sensible offers.
