1993 Jaguar XJS 4. 0 Auto Coupe,
MOT until February 2026. The vehicle straight passed with no advisories as it has with the 4 previous tests. Full-service history.
Just had a major service carried out and returned from a faultless 800 mile round trip to the Mull of Kintyre.
I have been acquainted with this car (owned it on 3 occasions) since 2015 and have to say its one of the most sorted XJSs I have ever had the pleasure to drive. Everything functions as it should including air con, cruise control, electric windows, electric seats etc and the vehicle performs beautifully.
Over the years a lot of proactive maintenance has been carried out including the all important scuttle repairs, head gasket replaced/ cylinder head overhauled, front and rear steel bumper beams blasted and powder coated. It has also had professional underbody anti corrosion treatment applied. The interior was refreshed just over 2 years ago and is unmarked. Headliner has also been replaced.
The last service included, engine oil/ filter, gearbox fluid and filter. Differential oil, brake fluid changed, IRS greased, coolant drain and flush, fuel filter, air filter, plugs, distributor cap.
The car has covered 112, 000 miles but you wouldn’t know, it just glides along and I would confidently say its good for at least another 150, 000 miles without any major work if looked after in the correct fashion.
Body work and chrome are all good, it has never failed the MOT on corrosion related issues, the front subframe was stripped and overhauled back in 2019 which included blasting and powder coating.
Why am I selling? Well I have 4 other XJSs and I feel that me and this particular car have been everywhere and done everything over the last 10 years so it’s time to move it on to pastures new. I obviously have a strong connection with this vehicle so would like it to go somewhere where it is well looked after and stored inside when not in use.
