a Citroen CX, my dream car. It took me four years of looking to find a
great R5. Mk1, s are as rare as hens teeth, those that do survive seem
to be left hand drive, worn out, rusty or all the above. This car, happily, is a wonderful original survivor, astonishingly free of rust and
drives just as I remember them from new. Having found this gem I spent several thousand pounds on servicing, maintenance and upkeep as I intended to keep it forever. This early GTL benefits from the smooth torquey 1. 3 litre engine (later cars were downgraded to 1. 1 litres) and high gearing that made it the most economical car you could buy when new. It copes easily with modern motorway speeds. It is surprisingly peppy in traffic and is very easy and comfortable to drive. Optional alloy wheels and metallic paint complete the perfect period look.
