Description

Selling my lovely 1995 Jaguar XJ6 3. 2 litre straight six.

This Jaguar was sourced from HR Owen Jaguar in Colchester on the 1st August 1995 and was maintained by HR Owen to 2005. Following on from this it has been maintained by CD Friends and Son in Bury St Edmonds.

I have owned this car for the last 2. 5 years and it has been a fantastic Sunday cruiser and occasional commuter for me.

I bought the car from an enthusiast down south. What excited me about this example was the condition, the history and the extras. This car has clearly been looked after throughout its life.

The engine is beautiful and smooth and sounds awesome through the standard exhaust: The gearbox is silky smooth and there are no unwanted knocks or bangs. I would trust this car to drive me anywhere.

The condition of the bodywork as you can see from the pictures is lovely. The paintwork cleans up lovely and has been regularly cleaned, polished and waxed during my ownership.

The interior is in amazing condition. The leather and wood trim is as close to brand new as I think you can get. The lights all work, electrics all work and the car is also fitted with the optional cruise control.

The car also comes with some spares and extras. There is a genuine jaguar umbrella and also genuine 2 piece luggage. The car also comes with a comprehensive service history, manuals and encyclopedia about the Jaguar xj models.

The only issue I have had is a slight misfire which was sorted with a set of new coil packs. Other than that the jag had been absolutely faultless.

The car is not without its faults as you would expect for a car of this age and I would rather be honest with any potential buyer than trying to hide anything.

The aircon needs a re gas. I have never done it during my ownership as to be honest, I’ve not seen that many sunny days!

The front speakers don’t work but the rears do - I am guessing it’s a loose connection somewhere but I have not investigated further.

There is some rust coming through on the rear arches - just surface rust at this time and still solid. The front passenger wing has also some slight rust but again, nothing that detracts from the full look of the car - I have added pictures to show.

The front bumper has been caught at the top at some point before my ownership. I was going to try touch it up myself but have decided to keep it as is - please see attached pictures.

None of these faults detract from the overall look of the car so please don’t let them put you off. I have done detailed walk around videos showing all the issues and am happy to WhatsApp them to any potential buyer - just message me on the details below.

I have done over 250 miles in the jag in the last week and it has been faultless. It is ready to be enjoyed and loved by the next enthusiast.
